Japan sends their best bombers on a suicide mission, using it as a decoy to draw the attention of the Chinese fighters, allowing air transports to slip through and make a paradrop attack. With the help of Yamamoto this allows the Japanese army to make a crack in the Chinese front and Japanese troops moves into another mountain hex.

Germany attacks Russia, and aligns Finland. The initial air assault goes well but the following offensive is voided by verdamnte bad weather, the Russians retreat behind their rivers, and very little real progress (i.e. Russian losses) is made.

Denmark is lost and with it the Baltic Sea, Sweden and the Finnish resource.

Italy again sails his fleet with massive fighter cover to protect the precious convoy which supplies the mountaineer in Algiers. At the same time, CW sails a battle fleet and some fighters on escort missions to protect loaded AMPHs and TRS with Marines bound for Sardinia. Italy attempts to intercept but CW manages to avoid battle and the invasion of Cagliari proceeds according to plan.

US boldly enters the war with four old battleships covered by a British fighter in the Italian sea. The following battle is a massive success for the Italians who manage to sink some of the invaders and force the rest to abort. Regia Aeronauticas first major victory!

Meanwhile, a CW MOT conquers Tunis and CW and US units continue to flow into the Mediterranean via Morocco and Gibraltar. A Greek mountaineer once again makes a dash for the unprotected Sofia but the turn ends before it can reach the city.

Germany finally feels bold enough to attack Russia. The first offensive is exclusively conducted by the Luftwaffe which disrupts many Russian defenders. Some HQs escape the attack and most of the defenders manage to reorganize before first German land offensive begins. This offensive is however severely hampered by the bad weather in the arctic. Rain and storms keep the Germans at bay. Only a couple of remote polish garrisons are mercilessly slaughtered.

The Russians however prove that their army is far from defenseless. Despite the bad weather they attack Memel on the Baltic coast, taking the port despite heavy losses. The Russians now control everything north and east of the Neman river.

After a year of shuffling troops in Denmark, CW finally assaults the lone German garrison in Copenhagen and takes the city without too much problem. Denmark is again in allied hands and the road to the Baltic is open. At the same time, the Russian fleet guided by CW NAVs sinks the unprotected German convoys there. No Swedish ore for the Germans this turn.
