Allied advance grinds to a halt in the snow and the mud as Germany forms a solid line of defence through Belgium and southwards. Still, a few corps are killed on both sides along with some German fighters. The allies also land in Amsterdam and liberates the Netherlands.

The Russians take advantage of the winter weather and launch assaults on German positions all over the front with mixed result. Seamingly invincible German tactical bombers clear through heavy Russian air cover and save the day for the boys in black on three places. Some ground is however taken by the Red army in Rumania and the German front is threatened to be cut in two pieces by the mountains in eastern Romania.

British forces kill a defending Romanian cavalry corps in the mountains in Yugoslavia and Romania is now threatened from the south as well.

CW assembles a large landing force in the sea east of India but bad weather postpones the invasion. Meanwhile, US forces continue to take airbases in the Philippines and a Japanese counterattack on a paratrooper division is also repelled. Menado is also taken as CW and US submarines manage to disrupt supply in the heavily defended south china sea. Japanese avenge this by sinking every sub in the area.
