End Germany begins the turn with two major assaults. Moscow and Odessa. Moscow is taken without losses, Mannstein guiding the assault from the east and von Bock handling the western aproach to the city both receive decorations for their part in the conquest.
Odessa on the other hand is an utter failure. Two PARA corpse are annihilated as the assault fails to take the city, and among German troops, Graziani is blamed for this due to his involvement in providing supply to some of the troops.
I Asia, IJN contest the sea zone east of the Philippines. A major battle is fought, with no Japanese losses and no less than three American major ships sunk, two och them being CVs. Another CV is severely damaged. Spirits lifted in Tokyo and the failures in China are momentarily forgotten.

Look, can't we all just *get along*?
And the weather lets up and we get to see how it would have gone if it hadn't been, well, Russian Cold-Winter of Cold during almost all of the game: One strong Russian stack killed per impulse to no significant German losses.
Ouch.
Ouch, ouch, ouch!
